Karate Jutsu Kai is an established Martial Arts system with international recognition. Founded by the renowned Kancho Bernard Creton (9th dan), the style strives to provide a system of self defence with traditional values. In Kancho Creton we are fortunate to have a lineage, which leads back to the teaching of Mas Oyama himself and today, Kancho's continued passion and leadership inspires all those who follow him.
The Wimbledon club was established by Sempai Matt Bolt and Sempai Ellie Murphy in January 2010 after they both moved to the London area. After successfully establishing the junior class, the first club grading was held in May 2010 where the junior members achieved their 10th kyu grade.
Sempai Matt Bolt took over teaching at Sevenoaks KJK in 2012 and Sempai Ellie Murphy moved away from Wimbledon in 2014. Her old instructor Shihan Tim Goullet then took over the running of the club in March 2014. Matt Bolt is still associated with the club as assistant instructor. The club continues to grow from strength to strength, with students competing in local and national association events, gaining from the experience of the instructors who have competed at the national level and are members of the Karate Jutsu Kai National Squad.
