Karate Jutsu Kai is an established Martial Arts system with international recognition. Founded by the renowned Kancho Bernard Creton (9th dan), the style strives to provide a system of self defence with traditional values. In Kancho Creton we are fortunate to have a lineage, which leads back to the teaching of Mas Oyama himself and today, Kancho's continued passion and leadership inspires all those who follow him.
Northiam Karate Club was founded by Shihan John Wilson in 1985 and, since then, has produced over twenty black belts, as well as numerous national and international champions. The ethos of the club is to foster belief in ones self and to support and encourage other club members, so that everyone achieves their potential, whatever that may be.
Dai Shihan John Wilson 7th Dan
Shihan John Wilson started training at Cranbrook, under an instructor, whose belief it was to make his students “as strong as they could be” and this influenced Shihan John greatly.
Shihan went on to train at Tenterden and Hastings, obtaining his 1st Dan blackbelt in December 1984. From there he has gone from strength to strength and is now a 7th Dan and chief instructor for Karate Jutsu Kai.
Association members regularly travel great distances to train at Northiam, to benefit from Shihan Wilson’s considerable knowledge, and on average, the club has twenty five to thirty junior and senior members training each week.
